This action concludes the emergency works planned on this road, in which the regional government invests 87,000 euros

The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure starts emergency works on another section of the road RM-512, which connects Abarán with Cieza, to repair the damage caused by the collapse of a retaining wall, following last year's rainy season from December.

The works are being carried out at kilometer point 2.2, in the municipal district of Cieza, and consist of the repair of a wall that collapsed and occupies part of the left carriageway, making circulation on the road difficult.

José Antonio Fernández Lladó, the director general of Roads, who visited the proceedings together with the councilman of Works of the City of Cieza, Francisco Saorin, explained that "these works, which complement those begun a couple of weeks ago on the same road, Will allow the return of safety conditions to this route, which circulates 3,830 vehicles per day.

The works consist of the demolition of the deteriorated wall, the repair of the existing slope and the construction of a wall of concrete and masonry.

Likewise, the fence will be replaced by placing a twist mesh to prevent the fallout.

The execution time is one month and the planned investment of about 34,000 euros.

During the execution of the works, special security measures will be adopted, with signaling and traffic control, to guarantee the circulation by this route.

Fernández Lladó said that with these actions "we have completed the emergency works planned on this road, in which the council invests 87,000 euros."

At present, work is also being done on repairing a wall and fixing the road on the same road, between kilometers 3 and 3,25, between the municipalities of Abarán and Cieza.

This work, which includes the irrigation of the existing canal in the area to avoid water seepage, has a budget of 53,200 euros.

All these works are part of the actions planned to be carried out by the regional government on 11 highways in the regional network that were damaged by rain and snow storms, with a global investment of 1.5 million euros.
