The regional government has agreed to the cession of the Teatro Cervantes Abarán City Council to encourage the promotion of culture in the municipality.
The assignment will be made free of charge for the direct management of this public building by the local council for a renewable period of five years.
Also, the Consistory will pay all current expenses arising from the use of the property.
Cervantes Theatre, owned by the autonomous region, was declared of Cultural Interest in 1986 and is currently a building of great relevance to social and cultural life of Abarán that is intended to use the dissemination of musical culture, theater film, among others.
For this reason, the regional government has approved the assignment of direct use of the facilities at the same municipality as a framework for the development of artistic and cultural expression.
