A group of volunteers joined the 2 nd Regional Campaign Clean Up the World 2008 "held on day 20 and included in the Volunteer Program Environmental Directorate General of the Environment that promotes the Department of Environment of the City of Abarán.
The event took place between 10.00h and 13.00h in the Norias Park, the river Segura and Jarral.
Volunteers sought to clean these natural areas of garbage, plastics and a number of atypical elements of the environment in order to leave them in the best conditions.
Among the volunteers was the Councillor for the Environment, J.
Gabriel Cano Montoro, Juan XXIII CEIP teachers, the school's director, Antonio Miñano, children and citizens of the town who wanted to get involved in this task as a measure to raise awareness of the importance of caring for the environment.
