The Governing Council authorized the signing of an agreement between the Autonomous Community and the City of Abarán by the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration allocated almost € 300,000 to co-finance the proposed facilities of the residence for the elderly and Day Care Center "Nicolás Gómez Tornero.
For this action, the Community provides € 299,167 and the City of Abarán € 99,722, bringing the total project amounts to € 398,889.
This is part of the program to improve care facilities for older people in the Plan of Action for Older Persons in the Region of Murcia.
The residence, located on Olive Mill Road, has 38 seats, while the Day Care center has capacity for 20 users.
The Autonomous Community and the Town Hall report that will finance the purchase of furniture, orthopedic and rehabilitation, toilets, and other material adapted to the needs homes.
