Public Works financed the rehabilitation of 131 houses in the regional public park and Cieza Abarán (18/02/2009)

The managing director of the Housing and Land Institute of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, Jane Brown, today visited the 131 homes that make up the public park that the Community has in the municipalities of Abarán and Cieza, and will be rehabilitated through an investment of 400,000 euros from the Plan Fix.

The managing director presided over the joint monitoring committees Fix Plan held in Abarán and Cieza and visited, together with the mayors of both towns, Antonio Eugenio Gómez, and Antonio Tamayo, publicly owned housing located in both municipalities.

Juana Brown said that "these actions, which are made possible by extraordinary investment under the Revitalization Plan which promotes the regional government for extraordinary relief Park Public Housing, will improve the living conditions of 52 homes and 79 Abarán Cieza, ensuring the right tenant families to enjoy decent housing. "

In addition, said the managing director of IVS, "at the same time, it meets one of the objectives of the regional government to ease the current crisis situation: the creation of jobs at the municipal level, by investing in projects that generate economic activity and involving an injection of liquidity in local government of the Region of Murcia. "

Extraordinary investments

Fix Plan, promoted by the regional administration, represents an investment of 1.8 million euros that will allow the rehabilitation of more than 900 homes owned by the Autonomous Region in the municipalities of Cartagena, La Unión, Abarán, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegín, Cieza, Molina de Segura and Puerto Lumbreras.
