González Tovar and the mayor of Abarán visit the works to be conducted in the municipality under the Local Investment Fund (15/07/2009)

The Government of Spain has paid 157,361,089 million euros in 604 works of the Murcia region involving the creation of 12,426 jobs so far

Has begun to pay the final part of the project funding from the State Fund

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, reported this morning that the City of Abarán will take place 9 works fully funded by the Local Investment Fund for a total of 2,295,183.99 euros, with that have created 106 jobs, a further 32.50% of the 80 originally planned.

Tovar González pointed out that these works were selected by the City Council and subsequently approved by the Government Delegation in the first instance, and the then Ministry of Public Administration later.

The Government representative stated that the Government of Spain has already paid the City of Abarán 70% of 9 works, which involved an investment of 1,606,546.37 euros.

The remaining 30% is paid once will justify the end of work each.

With regard to employment created by these nine works, explained that it has increased the number of jobs as they have generated 106 jobs of which 43 are newly established and 63 of persons within the successful tenderers.

Moreover, the Government Delegate and the Mayor of Abarán this morning visited some of the works being undertaken in the municipality under the Local Investment Fund and are almost completed.

The first visit was carried out works of rehabilitation of housing for local police substations in the village of La Hoya del Campo with a budget of EUR 57,559.20 and sitting to 4 people.

The tasks performed involve the refurbishment of the ground floor office to the public, and the adequacy of the first floor for offices, locker rooms and other units of the local police.

They have also visited the works of replacing street pavement Peña, in the hamlet of San José Artesano, which have a budget of 126,790.35 euros and employing 14 people.

Another visit was made to various works envisaged in the street lighting project to be undertaken in Hoya del Campo, Sale Aurora, Cieza road (MU 512), San José Artesano, and several streets of the village, with an investment of 299,951.85 euros and employs 14 people.

The Government delegate Abarán andthe mayor also visited the refurbishment, restoration, replanting and maintenance of municipal gardens called Verdeabarán, in which the Plan invests 50,288.32 euros and employ 4 people.

To this is added the visit has taken place to the works of construction project on Parcel Park Areas, which is integrated into the head of the cross, whose investment amounts to 117,754.76 euros and employs 8 people.

In this sense, this action includes clearing the land to reach the flush set in the planning, the curb of the sidewalk, installation of street lighting and street furniture and the planting of vegetation.

Moreover, Gonzalez Tovar has highlighted another major work that the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Public Works with a charge of 1% Cultural, works of the famous Ponte Vecchio declared of Cultural Interest.

The Local Investment Fund to date

The delegate of the Government has reported that so far the Ministry of Planning Policy has been transferred to 41 municipalities in the region EUR 157,361,089, corresponding to 604 projects have received funding for the 70 percent of the total project payment.

In this sense, González Tovar explained that since late last June, is beginning to pay the completion of the work of the State Fund in the Region of Murcia.

In particular, Lorca and Santomera municipalities have already received payment of three of its projects.

Likewise, the delegate explained that the number of jobs created and financed the works awarded the Local Investment Fund, which to date have already created 12,426 jobs, of these, 4,005 are newly created, and 8,421 of persons within the successful tenderers.

The Government delegate pointed out that the Region of Murcia has been the recipient of 246.3 M € of this fund and once the presentation phase of projects, 673 projects submitted were approved by the 45 municipalities in the region.
