November 25 was declared International Day against violence towards women "from the feminist movement in 1981.
In 1999 the UN gave official status to this date.
From City of Abarán, through the Department of Women and with the collaboration of the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration in the Autonomous Community and the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia, is to mark the date November 25, International Day Against Violence Against Women, through a series of activities which aim to raise awareness against violence towards women.
Days program against gender violence
Tuesday 24
Conference - debate on "gender violence, a social problem: Educating to prevent," which will be hosted by Araceli Rodríguez Romero, a psychologist and trainer in gender issues.
Will be at 17.00 Integrated Multifunctional Center (CIMA).
Wednesday 25
Film Forum Session
Will screen the film "North Country" starring Charlize Theron.
