The Director of Roads, Jose Guijarro, and Abarán Mayor, Antonio Eugenio Gómez, have today laid the foundation stone of the works of the highway that connects Abarán White, MR-B17, the only route connecting the west which will facilitate communication between the two municipalities.
The work of improving the road, which crosses the river Segura, include in the paving and improvement of the radii of some curves, which will give drivers a more comfortable and safer movement.
This work has involved an investment of 233,160 euros and has a lead time of four months.

The Highways Agency will also install new signage to facilitate the location of this road that serves as a transit point for walkers, cyclists and passage of cattle.
The Director General of Highways said that "through works that today are started on this road, will be increased road safety and provide motorists traveling more comfortable and agile in all its path, thereby improving communications between the municipalities of Abarán, a road along which 340,000 vehicles per year per year. Guijarro added that the aim of the Directorate General of Highways is "keep doing specific actions for communications in the Ricote Valley area are getting better."

Execution of works
