The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Pedro Alberto Cruz Sánchez and Abarán Mayor, Antonio Eugenio Gómez, inaugurated this morning the extension of the Polideportivo Municipal Covered Pavilion Prince of Asturias " of Abarán, whose reforms have included the creation of new changing rooms, a track with artificial turf and a second floor where it has located a gym and a multipurpose room which will be different uses.

The minister referred in his speech at the dialogue it has had this morning with Mayor Abarán, Antonio Eugenio Gómez and Council of Culture, Youth and Sports of the local council, Mercedes de la Fuente, José Luis Carpena and Frederick Turner García respectively, on the urgent needs presented by the municipality in this area.

Pedro Alberto Cruz Sánchez said "agreements and resolutions have been taken during the tour of the facilities of the Market Square, the Municipal Library, the former Library building located in the Ermita de San Cosme y San Damian and the Municipal School of Music "a stock that, according to the counselor," will run until 2011. "

The area of the old food market will become the new Youth Zone, with a grant of 270,000 euros; additional 90,000 is earmarked for the Strategic Plan adequacy of sports facilities for the three districts of Abarán: Hoya del Campo, San José Artesano Slum and Slum Virgen del Oro, and is provided also an extension of the Polideportivo Municipal.

The adviser added that "these projects are high priority, and the creation of a new municipal library and Informal Reading Point."

Among the positive agreements to which it has been found and the possible construction of a local museum and exhibition hall, and the inclusion of new, Abarán in the National Network of Companies.

These and other projects have discussed in management meetings that took place later in the Cultural Center Plaza, between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, the Mayor and Council Abarán involved.
