Abarán hosted the regional phase II Open Chess School Sport (19/01/2009)

On Saturday, January 17, in Room Guerrero-Mendoza Theatre Cultural Center Abarán Square is held the 2nd qualifying round of the Sports School in the form of Chess Open.

The tournament was held to 5 rounds, with a pace of play 15 minutes 10 seconds of delay (Bronstein system) per player, using the computerized Swiss Manager.

Participation of 62 players, boys and girls from schools across the region.

The tournament director was the vice president of the Chess Federation of the Region of Murcia (FARM), José Gómez López, President of FARM, Antonio Gallego, was the referee and second referee, Daniel Cortijo.

Here are the 5 players ranked individually and 5 teams qualify for the Final Stage on 28 February in Molina de Segura, calculated the results of the Phase 1 and Phase 2.
