The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, this morning visited the town Abarán, where at 10:00 hours has co-chaired, along with the mayor, Antonio Eugenio Gómez Gómez, a meeting of the Local Security Board in which also took part responsible for the Guardia Civil and Local Police.
González Tovar has reiterated its confidence in the role of this body to improve the coordination of the actions of the National Police and Civil Guard and the local police of the municipalities in our region.

With regard to the provision of the Civil Guard in Abarán, González Tovar has very much appreciated the efforts of the Government of Spain to increase troop.
Today the barracks has 9 officers, 50 percent more than in 2004, which had 6 guards.
To these are added more than 3 Civil Guards are SEPRONA unit in the municipality.
During the local board, the delegate said the increase in the effectiveness of the Civil Guard in the last year, increasing by 86 percent the number of detainees over the previous year (44 in 2007 to 82 in 2008) and also increased number of clarifications of crimes and misdemeanors (7 percent each).

Improvements in the city park and the banks of the river with bike lanes, skating rinks and other improvements (70,000 euros, 12 direct jobs).
Various activities in the districts of Hoya del Campo, with new lighting and the rehabilitation of the Commissioner of Police Local; for sale Aurora, with the lighting, and in San José Artesano, with new lighting and replacement of pavement ( 484,000 euros, 32 direct jobs).
The burial of the waste containers in the municipality's urban center (98,000 euros, 8 direct jobs).
The construction of two paddle tennis courts (57,000 euros, 5 direct jobs).
And the proceedings for the construction of a new urban park and the recovery of new municipal gardens (167,000 euros, 12 direct jobs).
With respect to these proceedings, González Tovar said they have been selected by the municipal government team in attribution of autonomy provided by the State Fund to local councils to choose the projects which it believes would be most needed and that the role of the Government of Spain is their license if they meet the requirement of creating jobs and full funding of them.
"The Government's representative explained that the delegate is to create jobs and stimulate economic activity in Abarán.
To this end, a fund has more than two million euros available to the City Council to which it is intended for this purpose, obviously, to improve the quality of life for the citizens of this municipality. "
Works of the Ministry of Culture in the bridge Abarán
Finally, the Government Delegate and the Mayor Abarán have visited the rehabilitation of the Old Bridge Tragsa made by the company and have an amount of 483,000 euros, financed entirely by the Ministry of Culture under the 1% Cultural.
The works of the Old Bridge Abarán, started last September and that, as announced by the Government Delegate, will be finished within a month, joining the core of the population in the neighborhood of the Virgen del Oro, dating from the late nineteenth century and is one of the engineering works emblematic of the city, so last year was declared a Cultural Monument to category.
