The construction of the new headquarters of the local police Abarán, which began today, will involve an investment of 1,378,000 euros, of which the Autonomous Community contributes 750,000 euros.
The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, accompanied by the mayor of Abarán, Antonio Eugenio Gómez, today made the first stone of this new infrastructure, which will have a floor area of 560 square meters and is located between the streets and Almanzar Professor Constantine Gómez Cano of the town.
Reverte announced that the new headquarters of the local police will be operational later this year, said the new facility will have all the elements necessary for the proper performance of police duties such as parking, changing rooms, storage, wardrobe, offices and dealer, among other agencies.
The Minister recalled that the existing facilities of the local police of Abarán no access for the disabled and the customer service area does not meet the ideal conditions, in addition to the headquarters was too small after the significant increase in police staffing the municipality.
Abarán account currently has 21 local police officers, of which ten correspond to Citizen Security Plan and perform their duties in the Special Security Units.
Also, the town also has a vehicle for the said Plan.
Reverte said that with performances like this, "we want the local police is a police Region competitive, highly qualified and technically prepared to meet at its best citizens."
