The directors of the Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, today inaugurated the new facility, accompanied by the mayor of Abarán, Antonio Eugenio Gomez and Councillor for Agriculture, Federico García Montiel.
The base has a permanently single impeller Bell 407 helicopter and a forest brigade for the prevention and firefighting.
The community has invested a total of 393,000 euros in the renovation and improvement in the forest fire in the Sierra de la Pila, located in the municipality of Abarán.
