Abarán Mayor, Antonio Eugenio Gómez, and the Councillor for Sports, Federico García Montiel, Murcia attended the opening ceremony of the XIV-Calasparra Murcia Mototurística Route "for life" that was held last Sunday 14 June, organized by the National Association "All on Drugs."

Gomez welcomed the participants: "I appreciate the cooperation of everyone in this cause and hope you enjoy the journey, mostly because they know the area inside the Ricote Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty."

The event, whose journey began at the Exhibition Centre of Murcia and ended in the Sanctuary of Hope Calasparra, brought together nearly 6,000 bikers.

The convoy reached the town of Abarán between 13.00 and 13.30 and the trip included a walk by the river Segura River Avenue and Constitution Avenue, and a visit to Plaza de la Zarzuela.
