Federico García Montiel has stressed that the main objective is the promotion of sports and financial support for federated clubs.
"Since this Council intend to service and a quality range of sports for all citizens, enhancing further the use of municipal facilities," said Federico García.
Among the sports activities planned by the City of Abarán are those of leisure among which are distinguished as follows:
Activities for youth and adults: yoga, pilates, aerobics or maintenance, among others.
Activities for seniors, taught Pensioner's Home, La Plaza Cultural Center and community centers in the slums Hoya del Campo and Virgen del Oro "The goal is that this group acquires flexibility, agility and coordination of movements," said Councilman.
For both groups there is also a monthly program that includes hiking, travel and tours within and outside the locality.

Regarding the Sports School, Federico García said that is sponsored by the Directorate General of Sports provides two grants: one directly through sport modules (14 modules of 300 euros) which amounts to a total of 4,200 euros and the other for participation and promotion of the sport (which is around 13,000 euros).
