Abarán hosted the first night of the centenary of PSRM-PSOE (29/12/2009)

The historian Antonio Martínez Shepherd, former President Carlos Collado, Pedro Saura, Rafael González Tovar and former mayor of Abarán, Antonio Francisco Gómez, stressed the profound changes that the region has lived through socialist policies

Teatro Cervantes de Abarán last night welcomed the first of the centenary celebrations of the Socialist Party of the Region of Murcia (PSRM-PSOE), the May 7, 2010 held its first hundred years of life and presence in Murcia.

The PSRM tries to present to society the party's history Murcia Region, in addition to strengthening ties between the militants and those who feel close to the Socialist Party.

A letter from one of the 13 roses last night opened the event, which in turn, opens the celebrations for the centenary of the founding of the PSOE in Murcia in 1910.

Lost Memory

The event was chaired by the image of Jesus Carrasco, 'The Nephew', mayor of Abarán executed in 1939 and was attended by José Fuentes Yepes-father of President of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura and honorary president of the Young Socialist, who was sentenced to death.
