The Governing Council has approved the signing of agreements with the municipalities of Abarán, Aguilas, Cartagena, Cieza, Molina de Segura, Lorca, Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras Totana Yecla for the implementation of occupational classes in each of these municipalities .
The aim of these actions, equipped with a 857,050 euros overall funding is to prevent absenteeism and early school leaving and to ensure continuity of the students in the educational system.
The Ministry of Education, Training and Employment will provide each classroom with a teacher occupational Elementary and a teacher of Vocational Training.
Also be responsible for monitoring and coordination with families and local services.
The consistory, in turn, develop projects and complementary activities in the field of remedial education and provide infrastructure and provision of classrooms and workshops.
The Social Pact for Education in the Region of Murcia 2009-2012 includes targeting in improving the quality of education and among its measures and actions to the attention to diversity is the Plan for Prevention, Intervention and Control of Absenteeism and Neglect School.
