At the end of January, the number of unemployed was 975, according to data released by the SEF and in relation to our town.
In relation to these figures, continues the trend of recent months and is, again, the female unemployment experienced greater rise (+34), while the male only if you have change (+7), which shortens , a little more, the percentage of unemployed among men (546) and women (429): 66% - 44%.

By sector, during the first month of the year the fastest growing level of unemployment was in the service sector (+38).
Also rose, albeit slightly, the number of unemployed in the construction (+8), and the increase is minimal in the industry (+1).
