The Association of Widows "Virgen del Oro" organized on Saturday a series of activities in the Pensioner's home to commemorate the International Day for the widow.
The event began with a tribute to Albina Carrillo Yelo, widow of the famous abaranero "Fernando de Hoya" which, accompanied by family and friends enjoyed this pleasant surprise.
After the emotional moment, Mary Antonia Belmonte Gómez, Medical Services and Occupational Health and Safety Surveillance and Health Promotion of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, gave a talk entitled "Habits of life for women's health" chaired by the president of the Association of Widows, Fina López Gil, and the council of Women, Family and Minors, Isabel Carrasco Molina.
This conference is part of the cycle of lectures organized by the Association of Widows "Virgen del Oro" for the months of February, March and April.
The next lecture will take place on Wednesday 24 February at 17.00 Pensioner's Home, in which the president of the Center for Abaraneros, José Gil García, will review the peculiar way of speaking of this town.
