Workshops to encourage reading (11/02/2010)

The Department of Local Development Abarán City Council is carrying out since last October, a project to encourage reading, sponsored by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia.

Through this initiative will hold workshops and various activities taking place in the districts of the municipality where, in addition to activities of encouraging reading, the technician performs actions to support children with reading difficulties and assistance in organizing and cataloging of the various reading points.

The schedule of these activities is as follows:

SAN JOSE CRAFTSMAN .- 16.00 to 18.00 Tuesday.

VIRGIN GOLD SLUM .- Wednesday from 16.00 to 20.00h.

HOYA CAMP .- Thursday from 16.00 to 20.00h.

Within this project also carried out activities to encourage reading in all schools in the municipality which will start next February 10 at the St. James School.

These activities include the Storytelling and other activities, literary marathons and a Comic Workshop to be taught at different schools.

The local development councils and Culture have jointly scheduled Comic Contest, aimed at pupils from different schools.

The bases are:

COMIC CONTEST RULES OF PARTICIPATION:

.- Participants: Students from the third cycle of primary schools in Abarán.

.- Subject: Open.

.- Format: a face sheet of A4.

.- Deadline: April 21.

.- The delivery of the comics will be held in the same schools and participants must indicate name and course.
